PALITA is built as a local-first Vedic astrology mobile application. We believe your astrological inquiries, birth details, and personal moments are deeply private. All astronomical computations, chart generation, and data persistence happen directly on your physical device. PALITA does not require an account, does not provide cloud storage, and does not transmit your personal data to remote servers.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

To remain completely transparent and technically accurate, PALITA does not collect, transmit, store, or monetize any of the following:

• No user accounts, email addresses, passwords, or contact profiles.
• No cloud synchronization or remote server backups.
• No analytics, telemetry, tracking cookies, or behavioral tracking.
• No crash-reporting frameworks or advertising SDKs.
• No continuous background GPS tracking or device location monitoring.

3. Data Stored on Your Device

PALITA stores information strictly on your local device:

• Horoscope Birth Details: Name, date of birth, time of birth, and birth place coordinates are processed locally and stored on your phone only if you explicitly choose to save them.
• Prashna Inquiries: Question text, date, time, and coordinates are processed locally and stored on your device only if you explicitly choose to save the query.
• Default Location: Your chosen default place name and coordinates are stored in local application preferences for instant Panchangam calculation.
• User Control & Deletion: You have full ownership of your data and can permanently delete any saved chart or record directly within the app at any time.

4. Location Information

Accurate Vedic astrology calculations (such as Lagna/Ascendant, planetary houses, and Panchang) require geographical coordinates and timezone information. City lookup operates 100% offline using a built-in directory of Indian towns and cities. No search queries, coordinates, or location data are ever sent over the network.

Because all personal records and calculations remain solely on your device and are never uploaded to PALITA servers, the security of your stored data is guarded by your device operating system security (including biometric protection, device passcode, and sandboxed file isolation).

7. Children's Privacy

PALITA does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 18. Parents or guardians may calculate birth charts for family members locally on their own devices.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may periodically update this Privacy Policy to reflect future application enhancements. Any revisions will be published at https://palita.in/privacy and reflected within the application with an updated “Last Updated” date.
