PALITA provides astrological calculations, planetary charts, and Panchang data for informational, educational, and cultural purposes only. Astrological indications are not scientific certainties. PALITA does not provide medical, legal, financial, or emergency advice.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the PALITA mobile application or website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the application or services.
2. Description of PALITA
PALITA is a free, local-first Vedic astrology mobile application designed to calculate birth horoscopes (Janma Kundali), Prashna (horary) charts, daily Panchangam, and Krishnamurti Paddhati (KP) planetary positions based on classical Indian astronomical principles (Drig Ganita).

PALITA provides astrological calculations, planetary charts, Panchang data, and interpretations for informational, educational, and cultural purposes only.
- Astrological indications and chart interpretations are not guaranteed facts, absolute predictions, or scientific certainties.
- PALITA DOES NOT provide medical diagnosis, medical treatment, legal counsel, financial or investment advice, emergency services, or professional psychological counselling.
- Never disregard or delay seeking professional medical, legal, or financial advice because of information presented in this application. All real-world decisions should be made with the guidance of qualified professionals and your own independent judgment.
4. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of birth dates, times, and geographic coordinates entered into the application. Astrological precision depends directly on the correctness of the input data provided.
5. Local Data Storage & User Control
PALITA stores your saved horoscopes and inquiries locally on your device. The application does not maintain remote cloud backups. You maintain full ownership and control over your locally stored records and may delete them at any time.
6. Intellectual Property
The PALITA name, Saraswati Yantra emblem, visual identity, application designs, graphical assets, and original source code are the intellectual property of PALITA and its creator. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit any proprietary assets without prior written permission.
7. Third-Party Licenses & Open Source Attribution
Astronomical Calculations: Astrological calculations are performed directly on your device using established open-source astronomical computation libraries in compliance with their licensing terms.
GeoNames Attribution: Geographic place data bundled in the application is derived from GeoNames under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 License.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, PALITA and its creators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the application or reliance upon astrological calculations or interpretations.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.
